The Moon’s revenge by Joan Aiken and Alan Lee
'The Moon's revenge' is a story about a boy named Seppy who wants to become the best fiddler in the land. He throws his shoes at the moon to get his wish, but the moon gets angry, curses him to go barefoot for seven years, and silences his sister. Years later, when a monster threatens the town, only Seppy's music can defeat it and break the curse.
