The Story of Psychology by Frank J. Bruno
'This book tells the story of psychology's past by the liberal use of anecdotes and examples. Anecdotes help the great psychologists "come alive" for you. In order for Wilhelm Wundt, William James, Sigmund Freud, and other men to be more than names in a book, it helps to know something about how they felt and acted as human beings. Accordingly, a thumbnail sketch is included for each of the major men discussed in the book.
But the examples provided for major concepts in psychology are more important than the anecdotes about great men. The book contains a number of concepts that may be new to you. Each major concept is illustrated with a concrete example. If the book has a distinctive feature, this is it. I have endeavored to make abstract conceptions vivid by the use of examples that appeal to everyday experience.' San Bernardino, California, September 1971 - Frank J. Bruno ( A personal note from the Author)
