The triple ply of life and other essays by Minnie B. Theobald

In her previous publication, the authoress gave us a group of stories which showed some bold flights of imagination and a distinct vein of allegory and mysticism. In the present volume she treats of everyday subjects such as Optimism and Pessimism, the Arts of Learning, Teaching, and Conversation, and the Art of Guessing Right, in a fresh and original manner. It contains many quaint criticisms of Life, many tersely put but suggestive ideas, and not a few epigrams.
